Sanjeev Kishore Takes Charge As New Director General Ordnance

Sanjeev Kishore has taken over as the Director General Ordnance (Coordination and Services) after the retirement of M K Grag. He is a 1985 batch officer of the Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS).
Before taking over the charge of the DGO, he was the Additional Director General Ordnance at the Directorate of Ordnance in Kolkata.
According to the Ministry of Defence statement, he has held many senior positions, including the first CMD of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Ltd (AVNL), one of the seven new DPSUs formed by the Government of India in 2021, under his leadership, AVNL recorded profit in its first six months of operation.
He has also played an important role in ensuring the smooth transition of the Armoured Group of Factories from a government department to a corporation.
He has also worked as the senior general manager of the Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF) in Avadi and the general manager of the Opto Electronics Factory (OLF) in Dehradun.
He has been awarded the Santu Sahaney Memorial Shield and Ayudh Bhushan Award for his meritorious services to enhancing defence production.
