Scandron has got first place in the High-altitude Logistics category at the HIM-DRONE-A-THON 2, held at the Wari La Pass in Union Territory (UT) Ladakh. The event, organised by the Indian Army in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), showcased cutting-edge drone technologies tailored for the demanding conditions of High-altitude Areas (HAA).
Arjun Naik, Founder and CEO of Scandron, accepted the award from the Lt Governor of UT Ladakh, Brig Dr BD Mishra. This recognition highlights Scandron’s commitment to addressing critical logistical challenges in some of the world's most extreme terrains. The rugged landscape of Ladakh provided an ideal backdrop for testing these advanced drones, reinforcing Scandron’s leadership in the evolving field of Logistics Drone technology.
This victory is particularly noteworthy, as Scandron has recently made headlines by becoming the first and only company in India to receive DGCA Type Certification for its logistics drone—a crucial requirement for commercial drone operations in the country. This certification underscores the company’s dedication to safety and operational efficiency in its drone solutions.
“As a subsidiary of Magellanic Cloud, Scandron is committed to pushing the boundaries of drone technology, focusing on both the defence and agriculture sectors. With a mission to tackle the logistical challenges of tomorrow, Scandron continues to innovate and enhance operational capabilities through high-precision data and actionable insights,” the company said in a statement.
The success at HIM-DRONE-A-THON 2 marks another significant milestone for Scandron as it solidifies its position as a pioneer in high-altitude logistics solutions.
