Three Indian Army Units Thwart Chinese Troops In Tawang

PLA troops clashed with three units of the Indian Army belonging to different infantry regiments in the face-off between Indian and Chinese troops in Yangtse in the Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh, thwarting their attempt to change the status quo on the Line of Actual Control.
According to sources on the ground, troops from three different battalions, including the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles, the Jat regiment and the Sikh Light Infantry, were present at the site of the clash last week when the Chinese attempted to unilaterally change the status quo in the area.
The Chinese were armed with clubs, sticks and other equipment for the clash. According to the Indian troops, they were also prepared for the clash because they knew what the adversary's intentions were.
One of the Indian Army units was on its way out and was being relieved by a new unit. On the other hand, the Chinese chose to clash on a day when both units were present in the area.
Every year, Chinese Army troops attempt to enter these areas and patrol their claim line, which India does not allow. The Chinese military has been acting aggressively in Yangtse, near the Holy Dip, and in the Parikrama area on the Line of Actual Control, where the Chinese side has been opposing Indian positions.
According to sources, the Chinese Army arrived during the clash with drones to film the entire conflict which they expected to outnumber Indian soldiers. The Chinese had arrived with over 300 troops, pelting stones at the Indian position, but were severely beaten back and forced to retreat to their side of the LAC.
In the recent past, the area has seen clashes between the sides as the Chinese have attempted their policy of encroaching on the land of all their neighbours. Home Minister Amit Shah has said unequivocally that Indian forces will not allow anyone to seize an inch of land anywhere in the country.
On 9 December, Indian Army troops bravely stopped the Chinese Army from crossing the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Yangtse area of Arunachal's Tawang sector, according to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
I would like to reassure the House that no Indian soldiers were killed or seriously injured. I also assure the House that our Army is capable of defending the country's territorial integrity. Our Army is prepared to deal with any transgression. I am confident that the House will support our armed forces' bravery and courage, Rajnath Singh said.
