NTPC To Supply Renewable Energy To Armed Forces

National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and the Indian Army entered into an agreement to supply renewable energy to the armed forces, the Ministry of Power said on Friday.

This is the first-ever agreement by the Indian armed forces for sourcing power from renewable energy sources, leading to the gradual decarbonisation of the armed forces.

The power purchase agreement for renewable energy from NTPC Solapur and the power uses agreement from upcoming NTPC Khavda was signed by GM A K Srivastava, AGM Sunit Kumar, and DGW Ashok Kumar at Chandigarh.
