Kalyani Delivers MRSAM Kit To Indian Forces

Kalyani Rafael Advanced Systems Pvt Ltd (KRAS) delivered the 100th Medium Range Surface to Air Missile Kit to the Indian Armed Forces on Tuesday.

According to the company, the kit is part of the MRSAM Air Defence Missile, which was developed jointly by Rafael Advanced Defence Systems Ltd and DRDO and is manufactured in collaboration with Indian industry, which includes both private and public sector players, as well as MSMEs.

Baba N Kalyani, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Forge said that KRAS is proud to accelerate the delivery of the 100th MRSAM Missile Kit for the Indian Armed Forces. 

“This delivery not only exemplifies the synergy between India and Israel, as well as the private and public sectors but it also reinforces our commitment to Atma Nirbhar Bharat, as envisioned by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he added.

He also said that aside from the missile kits, we will extend our support to the Armed Forces in the maintenance and repair operations of in-service Air Defence Missile Systems.

Rafael President and CEO Yoav Har-Even said that the Israeli firm has been a reliable partner to the Indian Armed Forces for nearly three decades and that these missile kits are proof of our commitment to Aatma Nirbhar Bharat.

KRAS, as a joint venture, exemplifies Israel-India cooperation in the strategic defence sector, as it combines Rafael technology with the engineering strength of the Kalyani Group, he added.
