INS Sunayna To Participate In Maritime Exercise In Seychelles

INS Sunayna reached Port Victoria to participate in operation Southern readiness of the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) annual training exercise in Seychelles.

The ship is scheduled to participate as an associate partner in the capacity-building exercises. However, this is the maiden participation of an Indian Navy ship in the CMF exercise.

According to the Ministry of Defence, it reinforces the Indian Navy's commitment to maritime security in the Indian Ocean Region.

Apart from India, ships will participate from the UK and Spain. Whereas, the joint training exercise is being attended by representative delegations from the USA, Italy, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. During the ship’s port call, professional interactions with participating nations are planned.
