Indian Army To Induct More QRFVs, Boosting Mobility Along Northern Border

The Indian Army inducted the Quick Reaction Fighting Vehicle-Medium (QRFV), made in India by Tata Advanced Systems (TASL). The first batch of QRFVs was inducted by Indian Army Chief M. M. Naravane in April this year.
On September 13, TASL finalised a deal to provide the Indian Army with an unspecified quantity of QRFVs. The vehicles will increase the Indian Army's combat capability in all weather and terrain circumstances and will offer mobility protection.
QRFV has been developed and manufactured in India. This can meet the Indian Army's growing requirement for armoured vehicles along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Himalayas.
According to the company, this 4×4-armoured personnel carrier (APC) is made to transport infantry with ammunition, communication, and control-and-command gear quickly through the terrain, gradients, and high elevations.
QRFV's V-shaped provides ballistic protection on its sides and has underbelly protection against land mines. The vehicle's three doors—one on each side and one in the back—will be helpful for speedy evacuation. There are two emergency hatches on the roof as well.
