India, South Korea Hold Naval Exercise In Bay Of Bengal

The Indian and South Korean navies held a joint maritime exercise in the Bay of Bengal.
The Indian destroyer INS Sumedha took part in the exercise alongside the ships Hansando and Dae Cheong from the Navy of the Republic of Korea.
Earlier, the South Korean Navy’s first training ship docked at the Chennai Port along with navy logistics vessel for exercise on Thursday.
Helicopter operations, communication drills, and tactical manoeuvres were all part of the exercise. The two navies' interaction was designed to improve their marine cooperation and interoperability. The two naval ships that made up the cruise training task group for the Korean Navy had landed in Chennai on 28 September.
The troops of both fleets are scheduled to interact professionally and participate in sporting events.
