BSF Shoots Down Drone Along Indo-Pak Border In Punjab

The Border Security Force shot down a drone that had entered Punjab's Amritsar district from Pakistan, according to a BSF spokesperson.

Around 7.45 p.m. on Friday evening, BSF personnel noticed the drone sneaking into Indian territory near Daoke village, 34 kilometres southwest of Amritsar.

“According to the drill, the personnel fired at the suspected drone to intercept it. A bullet struck the drone, causing it to crash. The area was cordoned off, and police were notified,” said the spokesperson.

During the search in the Ajnala subdivision, the BSF recovered a partially damaged quadcopter, DJI Matrice 300 RTK, a made-in-China drone.

This is the third such activity in recent weeks. Earlier, an IED, two pistols, four magazines, two batteries, a detonator and Indian currency worth nearly 5 lakh were recovered from a Pakistani drone at Ramgarh in Jammu & Kashmir's Samba district on Thursday.
