Assam Rifles Top Officials Discuss Administrative, Operational Efficiency

Assam Rifles officials met for discussions aimed at improving the force's operational and administrative efficiency on Saturday, according to a spokesperson.

“It also discussed how to ensure that the ‘Sentinels of the North East,’ as the paramilitary force is known, continue to work closely with the people to maintain peace and tranquillity,” he added.

On Friday, the Assam Rifles Inspector Generals’ Conference 2022 was held at Headquarters, Directorate General of Assam Rifles.

Lt Gen PC Nair, Director General, Assam Rifles, presided over the meeting, which Formation Commanders, Battalion Commanders and Staff Officers from the force attended.

“The emphasis of the conference was on drawing lessons from past experience in various fields and improving upon these aspects for better force efficiency,” the spokesperson said.

The director general praised the formation and unit commanders for ensuring peace and tranquillity in their respective areas of responsibility, and he urged them to remain vigilant in the volatile and dynamic environment that exists in the current scenarios.

He emphasised that the Assam Rifles has always identified with the people of the North East and worked to ensure their safety and well-being.

The spokesperson added that the conference, conducted twice a year, focuses on improving the operational and administrative efficiency of the force.
