‘Frivolous And Worthless’: India’s Reply To Pakistan Over Kashmir

India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ruchira Kamboj responded to Pakistan's mention of Kashmir during United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Kamboj said, "We have observed, unsurprisingly, yet again, an attempt by one delegation to misuse this venue and make frivolous and worthless remarks against my nation."
Further, she said, "the entire area of Jammu & Kashmir is and will always be an integral part of India... We urge Pakistan to put an end to cross-border terrorism so that our countrymen can exercise their right to life and liberty."
Earlier, Munir Akram, a Pakistani diplomat defended his country's vote on the UNGA resolution denouncing Russia's "illegal" actions and annexation of several Ukrainian territories. He attempted to draw comparisons between Russia’s action on Ukraine to India's action on Kashmir.
India voted against the draft resolution denouncing Russia's latest takeover and attempts on Ukraine's four rebel regions to make them part of Russia.
In her explanation of the vote to the member nations, Ambassador stated that India has repeatedly urged that no solution can be reached at the expense of human lives and that escalation of hostilities is in no one's best interests.
"We have asked that all efforts be made to end hostilities immediately and to return to the road of discussion and diplomacy," she said.
